CRAU (if any): Ruby spent just under two years on the cruise ship the Serena Eterna, where enough traumatising things happened that even she could no longer keep pretending she was completely, totally fine despite it all. Over those two years she learned to open up or ask for help a little more easily, how to be angry on her own behalf, started coming into her own identity, and began work on the idea that the whole world isn't on her shoulders alone. She also lost an eye, gained a few Changeling abilities and the ability to turn into a corvid.

Sometime following the endgame of this game, she ended up back at home with her new experiences intact. She then spent what amounted to maybe 5 days back home, before the near death experience that will bring her here to Pumpkin Hollow.

Personality: Ruby is a sweet, energetic and often extremely socially awkward girl who hides the pain she's feeling behind a cheerful exterior for as long as possible. She's aggressively hopeful and optimistic, often to a fault, and tries to boost other people whenever she can. She's known for inspiring speeches and emotional intelligence that only goes as far as helping others and not herself—"I don't have time for my emotions. I've gotta make sure that everybody else is okay," is a way of life, for her. So long as she keeps moving, she doesn't have to examine her own issues, all neatly compartmentalised into boxes.

She can come across as naïve in her idealism, and perhaps sometimes she is, but she's a very intelligent girl who is also willing to be extremely pragmatic when it comes to combat situations. Whilst she will absolutely give people she thinks might listen a chance to change their minds, stop fighting, she won't hesitate to fight until the end if you're a threat to the world or people she cares about. Do not mistake her hope for weakness.

She has a heart bigger than her body and she wears it on her sleeve. She's stubborn, and struggling, and trying her best at all times because to do anything less would be impossible. As of her v9 canon-point, this has all finally come to a head after some massive losses in quick succession, leading her to

attempt to essentially kill herself, via a magical kind of reincarnation that would erase Ruby Rose and replace her with someone 'better'.

Ultimately, she regrets this choice, but this Ruby will naturally end up here with that in mind rather than where she does in canon.

Initial Game Plan: Considering what Ruby's coming off of, she's going to cling to the familiar to a degree, but she's still going to try and adjust as quickly as she can and try to bury the Bad Feelings by doing things and figuring out how to live here. She's also going to want to get her hands on a weapon ASAP, and probably start working pretty quickly.
RP Interests: Ruby's bad at introductions but otherwise really easy to make friends with, and can be a great person to have in your corner emotionally and physically. I love found family dynamics, love her connecting with other genre teens/young adults, love when she clicks with people with similar shades of neurodiversity. Love her developing good relationships with adults that both respect her as an adult and recognise that she was a child who should never have been in the position she was. Also likely to play a lot with her maturing as a young adult, dealing with her grief/mental health/identity, so on so forth. Healing slowly from her depression and embracing the future.

NSFW-friendly?: Not for this one! I play Ruby as an ace lesbian, I'm up for shippy stuff if it happens (though it's going to be an uphill battle, she's grieving a couple of people she loved) but I generally see her as primarily sex-averse.
